KSM Small Group Leader

Roles & Responsibilities

1. Lead at KSM HS or MS on Sunday & Wednesday respectively:

• • Show up 45 mins before each service to help set up and connect with students before the gathering.
  • Engage with worship, game, and teaching during the large gathering.
  • Facilitate small group time with 6-10 students
  • Attend the leader debrief meeting right after the gathering
  • Make one connection point outside of a church gathering during the week

• • • Coffee Chat
    • Text message
    • Attend an extracurricular activity
    • Phone call

1. • Help facilitate an event once a quarter

2. Camps

• • Lead a cabin with another adult leader of 8-10 students
  • Engage in Jelly talks
  • Participate in Games, activities, worship, meals, at camp

3. Attend a Leadership event 2x’s a year

1. • We will do 2 trainings per year to help grow as leaders.

Characteristics of a small group leader:

1. Has a growing relationship with Jesus.
2. Attends weekend church gatherings
3. Caring disposition & is slow to anger
4. Loves having fun and playing games
5. Must be consistent (last thing our students need is more inconsistency in their lives)
6. Teachable
